REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)
The purpose of this RFI is to collect information about available solutions, technical details, prices and services regarding automated video file ingest solutions.
Note: With this RFI Yle is not asking for offers. In addition, it is not necessary to reply this RFI in order to later participate in the possible procurement procedure.
OBJECT OF RFI
Yle is looking for a Automated video file ingest Solution. Solution shall include all the necessary software, integrations, hardware and services that are required in order to the Solution function as described in this RFI.
The Solution should provide a resolution to following needs and use cases:
-Repeated work steps are fully or partly automated
-The input can be made to any of Yle's production systems
-Solution supports all main media formats and wrappers and support for new formats and wrappers shall be constantly added
-Backing up and deleting material can be automated
-High-quality material can be utilized without overloading the
production system's disk capacity
-Metadata is exploitable
-Inputs can be queued, scheduled and prioritized

Interested suppliers are asked to fill the forms and answer the questions in this RFI.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN RFI
Participants shall leave their response through the Hanki -eTendering tool before 18th of June 14:00 (Finnish time). Link is provided in this announcement.
Yle will review the responses and if necessary, will have a second round of discussions with participants most suitable to the need.
