This Invitation for Prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this project which was published on the EBRD website, 'Project Procurement Notices' (http://www.ebrd.com/pages/workingwithus/procurement/project.shtml) on 28 February 2011.
AD Elektrani na Makedonija - Skopje, hereinafter referred to as "the Client", intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, hereinafter referred to as "the Bank" towards the cost of HPP Boskov Most.
The Client intends prequalifying firms and consortia to tender for the following contract(s), hereinafter referred to as "the Contract", to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan:
Civil Works - Contract CW1
- Site infrastructure and access roads
- Rockfill dam
- Diversion tunnel
- Left side derivation system (5 intakes-Tyrolian type, approx. 11.3 km Water conveyance system incl. channels and siphons)
- Related hydraulic steel works
Civil and Underground Works - Contract CW2
- Site infrastructure and access roads
- Main intake
- Intake Rosocka
- Headrace tunnel
- Surge tank
- Gate chamber
- Pressure shaft
- Powerhouse and tailrace channel
- Downstream river training
- Related hydraulic steel works
The civil and underground (UG) works will be undertaken in conjunction with the construction of the 70 MW hydro power plant Boskov Most near Debar in the western part of FYR Macedonia. It is assumed that the civil works construction period will commence mid 2012 and be completed 1st quarter 2016. Civil Works Contracts 1 and 2 will be performed concurrently.
Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms and joint ventures of firms from any country.
Prequalification documents may be obtained from the office at the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of two hundred Euro (200.00 €) or equivalent in a convertible currency.

Upon receipt of appropriate evidence of payment of the non-refundable fee, the documents can be dispatched electronically in PDF format.
The prequalification documents must be duly completed and delivered to the address below, on or before March 14th, 2012 at 14:00 hours. Documents which are received late may be rejected and returned unopened.
