Avdeling for kommunikasjon og samfunnskontakt (AKS) [the Department of Communications and External Relations] has the overall responsibility for strategic and operative communication at UiO (the University of Oslo]. The Department heads the communications area centrally at the university with responsibility for vision, strategy, planning, service portfolio and channels as well as development of these.
The main tasks include media management, interaction with authorities, developing relations and communication between UiO and the outside world and coordinating and developing UiO's central communication channels and tasks. The Department administers UiO's netsite social media, graphical services, UiOs design handbook, promoting the education offered and large strategic arrangements.
