Prequalification of train operators for tenders for passenger rail services by train in Norway

A general prequalification scheme is being established for service providers for the competitive tenders for passenger rail traffic. The objective of the scheme is to contribute to an efficient procurement process and to reduce costs of the tender process for both tenderers and the contracting authority. Tenderers will be assessed in advance on stipulated qualification requirements. If the requirements are fulfilled, the tenderer will be prequalified for competitive tenders for passenger rail transport in Norway for 5 years, provided that time limited information is updated in accordance with the scheme´s requirements. The contracting authority reserves the right to set additional requirements that apply for individual tenders. Tenderers who, at the time of the release of the invitation to tender, have fulfilled the general qualification requirements and any additional requirements, as well as having kept time limited information updated, will get access to the ITT documentation and be allowed to submit a tender.
