FinnHEMS Oy is 100 % owned by the State of Finland. FinnHEMS is a non-profit organisation for providing the helicopter emergency medical services (‘HEMS’), helicopter bases and related infrastructure as well as processes for the University Hospital Districts. This RFQ concerns FinnHEMS Oy and its subsidiaries, when any of the daughter or sister companies may act as a purchasing party of the intended contract. Skärgårdshavets Helikoptertjänst Ab (SHT) is a helicopter AOC (airline operator certified) operator focusing only on HEMS operations in Finland. SHT has its own CAMO approval (FI.CAMO.0007), but no Part 145 approval. SHT if 100 % subsidiary of FinnHEMS Oy. SHT will start operating on the Northern Finland HEMS bases in Kuopio, Oulu and Rovaniemi in February 2022. For this, a maintenance contract for the three bases and four helicopters (one will act as a spare unit) is needed. CAMO activities are performed by SHT. The contract is intended to be signed by October 2021.
