It has been decided that St. Olavs Hospital Health Trust shall enter into a Framework Agreement for SteriPET (F-18-FDG), 18F-2’-fluoro-2-deoxy glucose products.
SteriPET is a radioactive preparation with half the time, 109 minutes. The preparation's shelf life is 10 hours from the completed synthesis.
SteriPET shall be used for diagnostics by utilising PET (positron emission tomography). St Olavs Hospital Health Trust needs 3-5 weekly deliveries of FDG.
Only GE Healthcare AS has the marketing permission in Norway for the above mentioned products. GE Healthcare AS also has the special wholesaler permission applying to
Radiopharmaceuticals with direct distribution of 18F-FDG. This contract can consequently only be carried out by a particular supplier. Cf. the Public Procurement Regulations §13-4 b) point 3.
