This direct procurement is a supplement for existing routine analysis instruments. The new instrument systems shall be used for methods that have been developed in the laboratory on instrument systems of the same type and are, thus, finely calibrated and optimised for them. This direct procurement is a supplement for existing routine analysis instruments. The new instrument systems shall be used for methods that have been developed in the laboratory on instrument systems of the same type and are, thus, finely calibrated and optimised for them. The MS laboratory currently has 4 ultra-sensitive fluid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry systems (LC-MS/MS) of the type Waters Acquity UPLC-Xevo TQ-(X)S for analysing routine and research samples. These instruments are used, amongst other things, for quantitative analyses of a number of foreign body and body compounds such as medicines with metabolites, drugs and alcohol, environmental toxins, hormones and vitamins in sample material such as serum, full-blood, spit and urine. Laboratory medicine is developing its own mass spectrometry based analysis methods, which are used in routine and research contexts. Comprehensive work has been carried out in testing and validating the different analysis methods and tests are carried out over several months before they are used in routine operations. A long test period is required in order to uncover any weaknesses so that unexpected stoppages in the method are avoided when it is implemented in the routine. When using uniform equipment, the department can easily switch ionising sources and probes between existing and new MS instruments. The use of uniform instruments also requires smaller stocks of spare/replacement parts. There will also be no need for comprehensive training and adaptations to ICT systems. 2017-43 Procurement of mass spectrometry systems. 2017-10-06 Waters 971 069 023 Oslo 7850000.00 Sykehusinnkjøp HF Vadsø 2017-10-14
