The following municipalities will participate in the contract: Ålesund, Vestnes, Sula, Stranda, Herøy, Ørsta, Ørskog, Volda and Norddal. The contract will be signed for 2017, with an option for an extension for one (1) year. (Until the end of 2018.) The contract will be signed after the waiting period has expired, 20.2.2017. 1400000.00 Flatholmen. Ålesund municipality, on behalf of the Procurement Cooperation in Sunnmøre intends to enter into a contract with GC Rieber Salt AS for the procurement of road salt in bulk, sacks and large sacks. The framework agreement will apply for defined municipalities. Estimated value 600 000 — 700 000 NOK per annum. This intention notice for this contract is being published in accordance with the Procurement Regulations (hereafter called PPR) §21-5, as the Contracting Authority considers that it has the legal basis to enter into a contract without announcing a competition. The reason for this is that as far as we know it is only GC Rieber AS who can offer road salt in both bulk, sacks and large sacks (1 000 kg) in the relevant area for the participating municipalities (Sunnmøre). The competition is therefore ‘impossible due to technical reason’ in accordance with the PPR §13-4.
