Medium caliber gun

Short description

NDMA is requesting information for a complete Medium caliber gun system (with possibilities of air burst ammunition up to maximum 40 mm caliber). Ammunition type should be effective against air- and surface targets.

The system shall be able to be fully integrated with the existing frigate combat management system (CMS). Sub-supplier thin client solution may be acceptable. An alternative solution may be presented with proposed vendor own operator position/console.

The Medium caliber gun system will be installed onboard and integrated to the CMS system by Kongsberg Naval System (KNS) in a separate contract. Planned instalment on 3 Nansen class frigates, with a possible instalment aboard other RNON vessels as part of standardization initiative.
