Norsk Polarinstitutt vil kjøpe Acoustic Doppler Current Profilometre (ADCPs heretter) for fortøyd oseanografiske målinger i arktiske farvann.

Instrumentene som vil bli brukt for å måle vertikale profiler av sjøvann strømmer og in situ temperatur og trykk. Ett instrument bør ha lang vertikal rekke strømninge observasjoner (300 m) og en annen medium rekkevidde (ca 150 m).
