Short description
DALO is investigating the possibility of acquiring a full motion and possibly full mission Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) or the acquisition of an equivalent simulator capacity owned by a third party for the Danish Multi Role Helicopter- Agusta Westland EH101, model 0512 (DMRH).
The desired solution is expected to comply with the requirements of a level 4 or level 5 FSTD according to ICAO Doc 9625 or equivalent.
The Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF) operates a total of 14 DMRH airframes, that are used in two primary configurations namely a Search and Rescue (SAR) configuration used in Denmark and a Tactical Troop Transport (TTT) configuration designated for International Operations (INTOPS).
On this basis DALO wishes to acquire a FSTD which supports the following objectives:
· Reduction in overall helicopter flight hours spent on conversion, currency and proficiency training.
· Increase the value of operational mission proficiency and currency training.
· Increase flight safety by reducing the risk of negative learning in the simulator and overall proficiency.
· Reduce the cost of DMRH type and role conversion training.
· Reduce the cost of IFR currency training and proficiency check rides.
· Reduce the amount of aircrews work hours spent on travel.
· Reduce overall carbon dioxide emissions.
The aim of this request for information (RFI) is solely to gather information from the supplier market (both civilian and military) regarding e.g. acquisition price, lifecycle costs, delivery time, implementation and possible solutions etc. enabling DALO to prepare a future tender process for the acquisition of the FSTD best suited for DALO’s demands.
The RFI process is described in further detail in clause VI.2.
