The construction contract concerns the construction of a carcass (structural) for a new three storey research and laboratory building with 2 storey basement. The size of the building is approx. 27 000 m2.
In outline, the work consists of:
a) establishing safety measures and keeping excavation pit dry;
b) fine grade excavation;
c) casting app. 2 100 m3 in situ foundation on intact sand bedding;
d) underground Waste Water and drainage system;
e) app. 3 000 m2 in situ cast concrete basement walls;
f) delivery and mounting of app. 15 000 m2 element walls;
g) Supply and mounting of app. 21 000 m2 hollow core precast concrete slabs and filigree slabs including app. 2 000 m composite steel beams;
h) delivery and mounting of steel lattice girders and trusses in roof;
i) pouring of self levelling screed on concrete slabs;
j) close-off of roof, including roof building and provisional draining off of rain water;
k) permanent weather-proof facade closing of roof Building excl. final facade cladding;
l) provisional weather-proof facade closing of main building.
