Short description
The procurement of Smartport system is part of a Ferry Terminal Turku (FTT) project. The ongoing Ferry Terminal Turku project is upgrading the Turku passenger harbour into a maritime hub that will fulfil the requirements of the modern, fast-paced, streamlined, and safe vessel traffic. The project is due for completion in December 2027.
The aim of this procurement is to integrate and automate vehicle check-in and boarding processes in the upcoming Ferry Terminal Turku port with up to two roro ferries turning around together in less than one hour. Concurrent departures will be handled from a single waiting area and check-in processes with as little personnel as possible.
A summary of the specifications highlighting the main characteristics of the project are attached to the Invitation to participate. All the specifications on the Smartport system attached to this Invitation to participate represent the client’s preliminary viewpoints and are open for negotiation. The aim is to negotiate with the tenderers to review and determine the best way of satisfying the requirements and aims for the procurement set by the client.
The Partnership with the winner of the competitive tendering will begin with an analysis and design phase after which, the chosen tenderer submits an offer for supplying of the system.
