GTK requests a solution which would handle the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) operations in the Circular Economy Solutions unit of GTK. GTK Mintec in Outokumpu is currently automating considerable parts of its analysis work with a robotic automation cell. Outokumpu site runs also a mineralogy laboratory and a process laboratory for bench-scale mineral beneficiation tests. Espoo research laboratories provide analysis and experts services in geology. The lab’s main areas of focus are isotope geology and applied mineralogy. Many dedicated analysis instruments are used in this research work. Mining environment and water research in Kuopio produces also data on the long-term behavior of waste materials.
We also request high flexibility to further the development of the system. Our strategy is to incrementally widen the scope of the LIMS inside GTK and direct selected analysis data flows to our geoinformation system.
