Provision of an Anaerobic Digestion Facility for the Disposal of Food Waste

Short description

Dudley MBC is procuring for an Anaerobic Digestion Facility for the disposal of food waste collected within the Borough from April 2026 with the aim to recycle food waste to produce energy and nutrients contained within the food which can be recovered and used to generate renewable energy. The anaerobic digestion site must be within a radius of 16 miles or up to 1 hour drive time from Lister Road Depot (DY2 8JW) where the food waste fleet will be based. The restriction is due to the lack of transfer station facilities for the storage and bulking of the food waste within the Borough.
