Short description

ATP is of the opinion that climate change can have a material impact on the risk-adjusted returns of investments. ATP believes, that climate change can give rise to both risks and opportunities. For that reason climate considerations are already integrated into the investment processes of ATP. As a continuation of this work, ATP wants to strengthen its work on quantifying climate related risks and opportunities. In that respect scenario-based analyses, and approaches that seek to quantify the effect of particular climate scenarios on individual investments, is seen as a natural way to complement ATP's existing work in the area of climate related risks and opportunities. The scenario based model should ideally cover the asset classes that ATP invests in (including real estate, listed stocks, corporate and government bonds)  - and model both risks and opportunities in a transparent framework that relies on state-of-the-art data and models within the area of climate change.
