City of Helsinki Urban Environment Division’s land property development and plots bureau are acting partly in the geological and geotechnical design branch. The focus of our branch is to both collect and maintain geotechnical data as well as to create and update geological and infra BIM models. The modelling techniques are applied to build 3D models from initial data models to a final design models. Land property development and plots bureau are planning to purchase a software that is capable to model and visualize geological and foundation engineering materials and use building information models (BIM). The objective of this information request is to examine the capabilities of the existing geological modelling softwares in the market and to clarify whether they meet the contracting authority’s needs.

The volume of the purchase is two shared licenses of the modelling software. The objective of this information request is to examine the capabilities of the existing geological modelling softwares in the market and to clarify whether they meet the contracting authority’s needs.
The necessary requirements and features for the procured software are listed in a separate attachment, which will be handed out to all interested suppliers by request to the following email address
Geo.It@hel.fi, with caption “Information request / Purchasing of geological modelling software”. To engage in the market dialogue, the contracting authority is asking interested suppliers to reply to this information request and provide answers to the questions presented in the attachment, by providing a yes/no reply and a short status description. The given answers to the features must be in use as of Q1/2022. Answers to the questions are asked to be submitted to the abovementioned email address.
Please note that this information request is not a call for tenders but a request for information for market dialogue according to Section 65 of the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts. The market dialogue does not bind the participating suppliers to submit a tender and, on the other hand, non-participation in the market dialogue does not affect any participation in the tender. No compensation will be paid to suppliers for participating in the market dialogue.
