Short description

Food from Finland program focuses on the development and growth of the Finnish food industry and on the promotion of exports with branded products and services offering high added value. We help Finnish food-industry companies in gaining access to the rapidly changing international food markets by utilizing innovations and business know-how and research that supports the sector's competitiveness. Food from Finland program needs a service provider who is able to support and produce food industry related marketing events globally, with an extensive food industry related contact network. The priority countries/areas for the service are: Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea. The tenderer must have its own office or another established structure to show that it is able to operate locally in the above mentioned priority countries. If the tenderer is outsourcing tasks to a third party, this shall be notified in the tender and the role of the subcontractor shall be carefully accounted for. Business Finland appreciates if the tenderer is also able to operate in the following countries: the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United States, South Africa and Singapore.

During the contract period, Business Finland will order different kinds of marketing and promotion projects based on its needs. For each specific project, the supplier must be able to name a project-specific project manager in each country the project concerns. The mandatory requirements for this project-specific project manager are mentioned in the annex 3 (Contract).

The service provider shall provide us project proposals and event concepts based on our purpose and goals of the planned events. They will act as a project manager in organising the event, making sure the content production, invitation process and schedules are according to the plan. They will execute the project and be responsible for tasks such as of carrying out search for venue, contacting media, taking full responsibility of buyer prospecting and invitation process, taking into account the participating Finnish companies’ products and business goals in the target market concerned. In addition, the service provider should be able to produce marketing materials, event invitations and venue decorations, catering and fitting in a Finnish chef, when needed. The service provider should be able to provide and support all technical setups in target markets, in case events are organised virtually.

The service provider should be able to recommend, plan and organize media campaigns, understanding our needs and targets.

The estimated number of events and/or promotion campaigns is 5-10 in a year. In the next few years the emphasis is in China markets. The estimated number of events does not bind Business Finland to acquire any certain number of events during the contract period.
