Expert service for content production to concretize opportunities of synthetic biology

Short description

The object of the tender process is Expert services for content production to concretize opportunities of synthetic biology (later also “Service”) to boost innovation and collaboration and to increase the number of companies,students and other stakeholders to enter the synthetic biology field (i.e. become an active member) of the Synbio Powerhouse. The work also will support the communication and spreading information about synthetic biology.

Synthetic biology is a disruptive technology that suits for very many fields of business and applications. Therefore, it is important to show case concreate opportunities to spread information and get citizens, companies, municipalities, venture capitalists, business angels, and other ecosystem parties interested in and informed about synthetic biology.

The service need covers the identification of concreate cases for the content production in the synthetic biology network (and beyond), the content production itself and the introduction of the produced content either to the broad audience (all stakeholders) and in some cases for a limited stakeholder group (for instance venture capitalists, municipalities, citizens or large companies not yet in using synthetic biology). The service provider is expected to be able to work independently. This requires good understanding of synthetic biology, knowing the current synthetic biology experts and the synthetic biology network (for instance companies active in synthetic biology). The introduction of the results of the service can vary and be for instance:
- written content (like synthetic biology intros to popularize the science of synthetic biology)
- audiovisual story telling (like films, video clips, documentaries)
- designing content for synthetic biology events (like Synbio Powerhouse ecosystem events, reverse and startup pitching events), supporting the presenters and moderating the events.
- Innovating and implementing demo product concepts and products based on synthetic biology to showcase in practice what can be done with synthetic biology.

It is expected that all four (4) categories above to introduce results of this expert service are required during the agreement period. The results of the work of the service provider will be used as tools to support the communication by Synbio Powerhouse (mostly implemented by Synbio Powerhouse and/or VTT).
