University of Vaasa has made a purchase of new laser based powder bed fusion metal 3D-printer. With this investment the university strengthens its comprehensive additive manufacturing capabilities by enabling direct digital manufacturing of complex and accurate metal components.
The equipment makes it possible to create new research e.g. on the fields of novel and lightweight design, complex geometries, parts consolidation, etc.
