Tampere University Foundation sr (Tampere University, TAU) executed a direct procurement of a micro X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (micro-XRF) for mapping of elemental composition of samples. The system was required to be able to detect and analyse also light elements — namely carbon, nitrogen, fluorine and oxygen. The system is installed in the Tampere Microscopy Center which has a broad user-base barring the acquisition of prototype systems.
