Supply of Limestone and hydrated lime

Short description

Energnist operates two incineration plants (Waste-to-Energy) to treat waste from private households and industry. The two waste incineration plants are located in Esbjerg and Kolding respectively.

Flue gas generated from the combustion is purified in dedicated installations for flue gas treatment for which various lime products are used in the processes.

To that end Energnist offers the service of supply of limestone in a public tender.

Two different lime products is used on the two plants, and the use of the lime products constitute a significant part of the two plants' use of chemicals for cleaning the flue gas.

The tender is therefore made as two separate lots:

Lot A; limestone to the facility in Esbjerg
Lot B; High surface hydrated lime to the facility in Kolding

Offers for the two lots will be assessed and contracted individually.
