VTT is looking for a contactless optical measurement tool such as 3D scanning confocal microscope (later also "equipment"). The equipment must be capable of both acquiring optical microscope images and analyzing the 3D thickness and surface profiles of printed flexible samples with thickness range from 5 nm to several micrometers in scanning confocal mode.
Some of our typical samples are (i) flexible electronic devices and circuits containing silver, copper or aluminum metals, organic polymers, conductive carbon such as graphene and (transparent) metal oxides on plastic or paper substrates, (ii) embossed thermoplastic polymers with sub-micron features and (iii) microfluidic channels on paper.
The printed features range in the lateral size from sub-micron features up to several millimeters. The size of the samples is typically from 10 mm up to 300 mm in one of the dimensions.
